Although most people couldn't care less (and you know who you are), we also know that the occasional visitor here might be interested in what types of instruments and gear we play and use. So here you go.
Our gear list includes Larrivee LV-03E and Taylor 710 guitars and a Tacoma M1E mandolin.
Elixir Nanoweb strings; Shure SM-58 mics; Shubb and Kyser capos.
Sound runs through an eight-channel Mackie amp/mixer PA. We throw just a touch of reverb on the whole mix but, aside from that (and except for an MXR compressor for boosting leads), we're about as basic as it gets, pretty much shunning the use of gizmos, gadgets and techno-effects. We basically keep it pretty, well, basic -- all listeners hear is unmasked shimmery, strummy guitars and clean vocals. Nice and simple.
Oh, and guitar picks... Yep, we use 'em. The little plastic ones.
